Jimmy (Jimbo) Calvin Adams, Jr. passed away Sunday, May 24, 2020. He was born to Nikki Etheridge and Jimmy Adams, Sr. on September 10, 1974, in Ranger TX. He graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1993. Jimbo went on and received his Associates Degree in Culinary and Psychology. He was certified to work on small engines and was the greatest mechanic you could find. Jimbo was a man of many skills, he previously worked for BNSF Railroad where he became a Train Conductor. He could build you anything you asked him to and was one of the greatest Chefs. Jimbo was employed as the Assistant Maintenance for the Church of God State Office Campgrounds. He occasionally catered for our State Bishop and his wife. Jimbo was a member of the Mineral Wells Church of God where he rededicated his life to the Lord with his wife and children and ran cameras on Sunday mornings. He recently accepted the position to co-teach the boys youth group on Wednesday nights and would occasionally cook for his Church congregation on holidays. Jimbo loved spending time with his family and friends and would stop to help a stranger in need. He truly had a servants heart and did it with a smile on his face. Jimbo enjoyed music of all genres, football, and spending time with his wife and kids. Jimbo enjoyed watching his 2 younger boys and grandson play football, loved to work with his oldest son on any project, he greatly enjoyed taking the time to spoil his daughter with Daddy Daughter dates to the salon, shopping and eating out and had a precious love for his granddaughter whom he adored and spoiled. Jimbo took great pleasure in making his wife feel loved and special by showering her with the small things in life that made a huge impression on her heart. Jimbo will be greatly missed by all and his memory will live on forever.
Jimbo is survived by his mom and bonus dad, Raymond and Nikki Etheridge; his dad, Jimmy Adams, Sr.; his Big, Eulalia Waggoner; Mimi, Edna Portwood; wife of 7 years, Michele Adams; 4 children, Tristan Adams, Taya Marcedes, Jayce Adams, and Ryder Adams; grandson, Lyric Adams; granddaughter, Rhea Adams; uncle, Les Waggoner; aunt, Dianna Waggoner; uncles, David and Kelly Adams, Ricky Adams; aunt Pattie and Matt Parkhill; mother and bonus father-in-law, Tag and Betty Andrews; father-in-law, Tony Garcia, Sr.; brothers, Chris and Nicole Donaho, Cody and Jheri Adams, Cory and Victoria Adams; sisters, Angel and Allen Smith, April and Mike Cherry; brothers-in-law, Jesse and Jenny Luna, Tony and Natasha Garcia, Jonathan and Destiny Barrera; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Jimbo was preceded in death by his daughter, Kandra Adams; bonus son, Christian Poteet; grandfather, Doyle Waggoner; great Memaw, Elsie Cretsinger; uncles, Douglas Waggoner and Rayford Adams; bonus grandfather, Clay Portwood; wife and mother to his youngest 2 boys, Regina Adams; grandmother-in-law, Betsy Luna; aunt, Janet Boggess; aunt and uncle-in-law, Fred and Mary Vera.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, May 28, 2020 at the Mineral Wells Church of God.
