Jimmy Ralph Butler

d. January 1, 1900

Jimmy Ralph (Joe) Butler passed away at 11:15 AM Friday, February 17, 2012 at Palo Pinto General Hospital. He was the only child of Jim Butler and Pauline Ruth Smith Butler both of who preceded him in death. He was born in Mineral Wells as was his father and grandmother Eubank. The Butler-Eubank Family History goes back over one hundred years in Palo Pinto County. Joe loved history and genealogy there wasn't anyone more fun to take a trip with, as he could tell you all about the history of where ever we went. Joe worked for General Dynamics and later Lockheed. He was in Belgium and Egypt for several years with the F16 Program. He took early retirement in 1995 due to complications from back surgery. Joe and his wife Jo lived at Possum Kingdom Lake at Butler Point since 1984. He loved living at Possum Kingdom by the water. He often said where else could you see the sunrise in the morning and the sunset in the evening over the lake. Services will be 11 AM Monday, February 20, 2012 in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel. Burial will follow in Indian Creek Cemetery. Visitation is Monday from 10-11 AM just prior to the service in the Chapel. Joe is survived by his wife: Mary Jo of 34 years of PK Lake, son: Jim Butler and family of Fort Worth, son: Randy Butler and family of Fort Worth, step-children: Vickie Jo Stanley and family, Debra Ruth Harris and family, John Victor Harris, Joan-Marie Crosier and family, and Andrea Leigh Heaslet and family, 26 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
