Jim Martin (J.M.) McDonald was born in Lone Camp, Texas on February 20, 1927 to the late Edward and Arlene Singletary-McDonald. Jim served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Corporal in the military police in Italy. He then worked for over 45 years at Mineral Wells Clay & Brick. He was a long time member of Holder's Chapel United Methodist Church in Cool, Texas. Jim was a loving and dedicated husband and father. Memorial Services will be 11 AM Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Holders Chapel United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lillie Mae McDonald; and two daughters, Lisa Henderson and husband Rev. Doyle Henderson of Whitesboro, Texas and Carole Grogan and husband Eric Grogan of Wharton, Texas. Jim was always building new contraptions for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by four grandchildren, Nicole Fletcher and husband Corey of Whitesboro, Texas; Jessica Tullos and husband John of Allen, Texas; Matt Jackson of Dallas, Texas; and Eric Jackson and wife April of Montgomery, Texas. Jim also was loved dearly by five great-grandchildren, Josh and Andrew Fletcher of Whitesboro, Texas; Trey and Tyler Tullos of Allen, Texas; and Addison Jackson of Montgomery, Texas. Jim is also survived by brothers Clifton and Linus Ray McDonald, sister Leta Kates, and numerous nieces and nephews.
