Jewel “Woody” Woodall, Jr. passed away March 8, 2022. He was born August 19, 1948 to Jewel Sr. and Irmadean (McLeod) Woodall, in Mineral Wells, Texas. He graduated from Mineral Wells High School in 1966 and Texas Tech University in December 1971.
Jewel met and married his wife, Janis McDuffee, in Pasadena, Texas. After the kids were born they moved to Garden City, Kansas. Jewel worked for IBP/Tyson in Garden City for 32 years in the Slaughter Knife Room. He retired in 2019 and moved back to Mineral Wells.
Jewel enjoyed fishing and golf. He watched all sports but his favorite teams were Texas Tech, Houston Astros, Houston Rockets and Texans.
Survivors include his wife, Janis of Mineral Wells; son, Joshua (Jamie) Woodall of College Station, Texas; daughter, Sara (Shawn) McMillen of Cedar Hill, Texas; grandsons, Hayden and Jackson McMillen; 2 brothers-in-law; 2 sisters-in-law; 2several cousins; and his dog, Baby Bob.
Visitation will be come and go on Friday at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Woodland Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Mineral Wells Animal Shelter or Garden City Animal Shelter.
