Jerethea Ladean Light, 72, passed away June 23, 2013 in Dallas at Charlton Methodist Hospital while under the awesome care of Odyssey Hospice. Visitation will be held 6-8 Wednesday at Baum-Carlock Bumgardner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Mineral Wells Church of God. Burial will be in Lamesa Memorial Park Friday at 2:00 p.m. Ladean was born December 24, 1940 in Lamesa, Texas to J.L. and Evelyn Lewis Goolsby. She married Albert Bruce Light on March 16, 1957. She was the co-owner and operator of the Dairy Mart in Mineral Wells for many years. Ladean was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her kindness and generosity was known by all. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Paula Grimes; granddaughter, Marcy Wilson; great-grandsons, Colby Wilson and Breaden Blair. Ladean is survived by her husband of 56 years; daughters Joan Souder and Susan Burnett; grandchildren, Miranda Nachlinger, Bobby Burnett, Marissa Seedig, Jayci Rodriguez, and Justin Souder; great-grandchildren, M'Kayla Wilson, Jordan Bowser, Austin Laylin, M'Lynn Leatherwood, Malaina Stewart, Allie Rodriguez, Kennedy Burnett, Daniella Rodriquez, Kaylee Rodriquez, and Lastin Seedig; brother, Doyle Wayne Goolsby; a special cousin, Patsy Jo Smith; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
