Jean Bruton Greengard, 93, passed away December 25, 2012 in a Weatherford nursing home. She was born November 16, 1919 in Ft. Hoover, Oklahoma the daughter of Richard Jessie Sr. and Lucinda Peerie Bruton. She married Charles Greengard in September of 1998 in Weatherford. She lived in Weatherford since 1999 and in Mineral Wells prior to that. She was a member of Hilltop Church of Christ, and a homebound member of Northside Baptist Church. She was a past member of 11th Avenue Church. She worked as a waitress for 50 years and was working in the Baker Hotel at the time it closed. She remembered waiting on Lyndon B. Johnson and many other celebrities. She loved playing dominos, and when she played Mexican Train she got so excited that her great-granddaughter wanted to wash her mouth out with soap. Graveside services will be 4 PM Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Perrin Memorial Gardens Cemetery. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Leslie and Marleta Hall of Weatherford, grandchildren: Leston Hall of Las Vegas, Nevada, Suletta Leatherwood and husband Gerald "Cowboy" of Weatherford, 11 grandchildren, many step-great-grandchildren, sister-in-law: Margariuete Bruton of Arlington, and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in February of 2000, and all her siblings.
