Janis Kay Teague

Janis Kay Teague, 62, of Mineral Wells, passed away Thursday, March 18, 2010 in Waco, Texas. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday at Immanuel Baptist Church with Rev. David Wilkins officiating. Burial will be at the Woodland Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Walter Hight, John Teague, Jr., Steven Gossett, Chris Gossett, Jeremy Gossett and Tony Boyd. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Fryer, Ronnie Terrell Tim Cason and Tracy Fryer. Visitation will be 6-8 Saturday.Mrs. Teague was born March 14, 1948, the daughter of Floyd and Marybell Foley Walker. She married Gerald Teague June 1, 1966 in Mineral Wells. He was the love and the light of her life. She worked at Edo-Aire Mitchell for a while and was a cafeteria manager for the Mineral Wells Independent School District, currently at Lamar Elementary School. She loved her family and her friends. She was the hardest worker and loved the outdoors. She loved her children and grandchildren and her God. She loved everything-from rocks to animals.Survivors include her husband, Derril Teague of Mineral Wells; son, Derril Teague, Jr. of Mineral Wells; daughter, Denna Teague of Mineral Wells; brother, Dean Walker of Lacrosse, AR; sister, Mary Louise Walker Bowman of Mineral Wells; grandchildren, Winston Teague and Candace Scotty.She was preceded in death by a daughter, Deanna Deneen Teague, her parents and brothers, Johnny Lee Walker and Larry Gene Walker.
