Janie Imogene Clutts McCurley, of Mineral Wells, passed away December 21, 2018. She was born February 12, 1924 to Ace Andrew and Mary Edna (Davis) Roberts. Imogene was a retired homemaker although she did work a few jobs outside the home over the years. She thoroughly enjoyed tending to her flowers and always had the most beautiful yard in town. She was also a fantastic cook and loved to bless others with her culinary talents. She was a lifetime member of the Church of Christ alternating between Southside and North Oak Churches. Imogene enjoyed singing with the Silver Notes as well as many of the other Gospel singing groups in and around Mineral Wells. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers; husbands, Lewis Clutts and Grady McCurley; and son, Larry Clutts. Survivors include son and wife, Butch and Bette Clutts; grandson and wife, Buddy and Lisa Clutts; granddaughter and husband, Shauna (Clutts) and Wes Bradshaw; great-grandchildren, Hagen and Emri Kate Bradshaw; sister, Billie Rotenberry; special niece, Cookie Scott; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Baum-Carlock Bumgardner Funeral Chapel with William Eudy officiating. Burial will follow at Sturdivant Cemetery. Pallbearers are Mike Barnett, Dewayne Jackson, Tracy Jackson, Kelle Nimmo, Case Oxford and Chris Oxford. The family would like to thank the staff at Mineral Wells Nursing and Rehab where she lived out the final years of her earthly life.
