Janice Gilbert

Janice Gilbert, 71, passed away March 27, 2009 in a Fort Worth hospice facility. She was born December 8, 1937 in Kirbyville the daughter of Elmer Ernest and Mildred Wilson Adams. She was a longtime resident of Mineral Wells and a member of Salesville Baptist Church. She married John Gilbert on June 23, 1954 in Mineral Wells. Services will be 10 AM Monday, March 30, 2009 at Indian Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Lonnie DeArmond officiating. Burial will follow in Dobbs Valley Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. She is survived by her children and spouses: Connie and Harlen Cunningham of Mineral Wells, John and Deanna Gilbert of Jacksboro, Curtis and Beverly Gilbert of Mineral Wells, Jo Ann Turner of Fort Worth, grandchildren: Kim Jones, Alicia Marr, Mindy Carnahan, Travis Cunningham, Sonya Kite, Bridget Turner, Todd Turner, Alexandra Gilbert, Sam and Caleb Turner, 11 great-grandchildren, sisters: Shirley Fondren and Ernestine Turpin, brothers: Hugh Wayne and Charles Adams, and numerous other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother, and her husband on August 17, 2001.
