James Edward "Jimmie" Wells, Jr., 58, of Mineral Wells, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2009, at his home. Memorial services will be 10 am Monday at the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel, Rev. Bill Hudson officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Grandsons and Weatherford City Maintenance Crew. Jimmie was born April 3, 1951 in Mobile, AL, the son of James Edward, Sr. and Mary Page Wells. He lived 26 years in Mineral Wells, was a member of the Eleventh Avenue Church and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He collected guns and police office badges and patches and worked 28 years for the city of Weatherford. He liked to play Santa Clause for nursing homes and the National Guard. Survivors include his wife, Donna Wells of Mineral Wells; son, James Harris and wife Sandra of Graford; grandchildren, Scott Harris, Justin Snell, Dustin Snell and Kurstyn Snell; great-granddaughter, McKinley Snell; brother, Raymond Wells of Azle; sister, Lou Wells of Ellisville, MS. He was preceded in death by his parents, his foster parents, Jay and Lula Stafford, a brother, Steve Stafford and two sisters.
