James Christian "Jim" Stehling, of Mineral Wells, passed away in his 82nd year on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 in Mineral Wells. Graveside memorial services will be 10 AM Thursday, June 3 at the Woodland Park Cemetery. Rev. David Montoya will officiate. Personnel from the United States Marine Corps will conduct military graveside honors. Mr. Stehling was born August 3, 1927 in New Braunfels, TX the son of Max and Helen Wallace Stehling. He moved to Mineral Wells at an early age and graduated from Mineral Wells High School. He joined the Marines and served during the Korean War and served two tours in Vietnam and retired after 30 years. He married Toyo Karimata, March 3, 1967 in Japan. He moved back in Mineral Wells in 1970 and was a life member of Mineral Wells Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2399. Survivors include his wife, Toyo Stehling of Mineral Wells; sister, Patsy Frew of San Antonio; and four nieces. He was preceded in death by a brother, Max Stehling, Jr.
