James DeLoy McAllister Sr.

James DeLoy McAllister Sr., 75, passed away March 27, 2017 at his home in Mineral Wells. He was born March 23, 19742 in Winsboro the son of Marvin Alexander and Rozlee Barton McAllister. He married Bessie Roberts on October 31, 1969 and she preceded him in death on September 17, 2005. Services will be 10 AM Saturday, April 1, 2017 in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel. Burial will follow in Sturdivant Cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. He is survived by his children: Cathy McAllister, James D. McAllister Jr., Rose McAllister, Marvin A. McAllister, Deena McAllister Baker, Karen Melton, Gary Slate, and Hannah Slate, 20 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, 4 nephews, and 1 niece. He was also preceded in death by his parents, grandson: Chilo Rimple, brother: Marvin L. McAllister Sr., sisters: Wilma Jean McAllister and Dorothy McAllister, and step-son: Randy Slate.
