James Lionberger

James Ralph Lionberger, 87, died December 25, 2012 at Lakewell House in Mineral Wells. Funeral Services will be held 2 PM Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Garner Baptist Church with Rev. Jon Blackburn officiating. Burial will follow in Oran Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8 pm Saturday at the funeral home. James was born June 6, 1925 in Thayer, MO., the son of George Joseph and Grace B. McFann Lionberger. He served in the Army during WWII and the Korean War, India Burma Theatre. James was a longtime resident of the Whitt area. He was preceded in death by son, Kim Lionberger, parents, five brothers and one sister. James is survived by a daughter-in-law, Mary Jane Lionberger of Holbrook, Az; grandchildren, Heather Hernandez and husband Juan, Caleb Lionberger and wife Emillie all of Phoenix, Az.; brother and sister-in-law, Obe Leon and Betty Lionberger of Garner; sister-in-law, Marilyn Lionberger of Garner; numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
