James Cain Jackson Jr., 93, passed away August 14, 2017 in Mineral Wells. He was born May 1, 1924 in Mineral Wells the son of James Cain Sr. and Nina Garrett Jackson. He married Tommie Martin on August 30, 1947 in Mineral Wells. He was a lifetime resident of Mineral Wells and owned and operated Jackson's Meats for 69 years. He was a veteran of the US Army having served in WWII. He was a member of the Palo Pinto County Sherriff's Posse. Services will be 2 PM Friday, August 18, 2017 in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel. Burial will follow in Woodland Park Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife: Tommie Jackson, grandchildren: James C. Jackson III, Kyndall Pilgrim and husband Joe, Allison Jackson, and great-grandchildren: Cainan Daniel and Tripp Jackson all of Mineral Wells. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother: Ed Jackson, and son: James E. Jackson.
