James Harper

James W. Harper 78 of Mineral Wells passed away in Weatherford on June 2, 2014. James was born in Hope, Arkansas; the son of Otha and Hazel Virginia Smith Harper. James served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy. James had a passion for working with children; he was a teacher and then moved to administration and retired as a principal. He will be missed dearly by wife Barbara Harper; children Cheri and husband Joe Hukins, Donald and wife Candace Dingler and Gayle and husband Alvin Pitchford; sister Betty Walters along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nephews. Graveside service will be Thursday June 5, 2014 2pm at Woodland Park Cemetery
