James A. “Jim” Grimm died in Willow Park, Texas at the age of 87 on May 18, 2021. He was born October 7, 1933, in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Clarence and Edith McCullough Grimm. He was a resident of Quaill District and Berkley Hill, Ross Township. He graduated from the former West View High School (WVHS ‘51) and received his BBA from Pitt. Jim married his best friend and soulmate Joan Ruth Faris on February 4th, 1955. He spent his career in corporate accounting and finance in Pittsburgh, Carlisle, PA, and Ft. Worth, Texas. Jim spent 30 years in service as a volunteer fireman in the Pennsylvania communities where he lived.
Jim was preceded in death by his son, James A. Grimm, Jr and by a stillborn daughter.
He is survived by his daughter Gail Grimm Murray (husband Glen) of Mineral Wells; grandsons J. Tyler Grimm and Elliot P. Grimm, both of Washington DC; granddaughter Sara Murray Wall (husband Danny) of Mineral Wells; sister Janet Grimm Hyne (husband Dr. Norman) of Tulsa; and daughter-in-law Nicole Brophy Grimm; three great grandchildren, Adam, Ryan and Elizabeth Wall and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at University Christian Church on June 4th at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to University Christian Church.
