James Harold Gilmore, 86, died Wednesday, January 2, 2013, in a Cleburne nursing home.Graveside services will be held Tuesday, January 8 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 7-9 at Baum-Carlock Bumgardner Funeral Home.Harold was born February 18, 1926, in Travis County, the son of William C. Gilmore, Sr., and Sarah Sykes. He married Della Faye Wallace August 22, 1943, in Delta County. He lived in Cleburne for the past 7 years and at Possum Kingdom Lake prior to that. Harold was a member of the First Baptist Church of Possum Kingdom and was the secretary of the Graford Masonic Lodge 1026. He was preceded in death by his wife, Della Faye Gilmore and brother, Gene Gilmore, Sr.Survivors include children and spouses, J.W. and Minister Rosetta Gilmore of Corona, N.M., Max and Dee Gilmore of Hobbs, N.M., and Debby and Larry Wines of Mattoon, IL.; 18 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister Margaret Smith of Garland; and brother, William C. Gilmore.The family requests that in lieu of flowers go out and spend an evening with your family.
