James Cooper

October 31, 1929 — January 1, 1900

James "Jim" Cooper, 80, passed away August 8, 2010 at his home in Mineral Wells. He was born October 31, 1929 in Nocona the son of Winstead and Grace Price Cooper. He married Diane Dean on October 27, 1956 in Midkiff. He was a longtime resident of Mineral Wells and a member of Southside Church of Christ. He was a veteran of the US Navy. Services will be 10 AM Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at Southside Church of Christ with William Eudy and Scott Sheppard officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Park Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Joe Riley, Justin Borchardt, Jeff Salmon, Jeff Cox, Steve Salmon, and Jackie Qualls. The honorary pallbearers will be Jim Elliott, Frank Terry, Mike Rhoads, Bill Ramsey, and Virginia Turner. He is survived by his wife: Diane Cooper of Mineral Wells, daughter and son-in-law: Lisa and Joe Riley of Stephenville, granddaughters: Jamie Borchardt and husband Justin, and Adrianna Riley, great-grandchildren: Peyton and Brent Borchardt, Hunter Riley, and 8 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son: David Cooper, brother: Graburn Cooper, and sister: Carolyn Salmon.
