James Victor Cardwell, 63, of Lone Camp, Texas, went to be with his Lord on December 30th, 2017. James was born October 16th, 1954 in Dublin, Texas. After spending his early childhood in Granbury, James grew up and gained his work ethic on the family dairy farm in Tolar. He graduated from Tolar High School where he excelled in sports, earning all-state in six-man football. James worked over 30 years for UPS. He was a devoted husband, and a man of big dreams and vision. He loved arrowhead hunting, roping, English Setters, John Wayne, and James Bond. He created a lifetime of memories for his grandchildren through imaginative adventures and creative family gatherings. James is survived by Brenda, his wife of 27 years. He is also survived by his children, Candace (Brian) Clinkscale of Granbury; Kerri (Seth) Ralphs, of Burlington, Iowa; and Justin (Ashley) Cardwell, of Wichita Falls. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Ethan, Jack, and Reese Clinkscale of Granbury; Wyatt and William Ralphs of Burlington, Iowa; and Brooklyn Cardwell of Wichita Falls. Finally, James is survived by parents J.R. and LaVerne Cardwell, and siblings Larry (Kathy) Cardwell and Jana (Mike) Franklin and their families, all of Tolar. Services will be held at the Southside Church of Christ, Mineral Wells, Texas, Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 2PM. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 pm Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at the church.Mr. Cardwell wil be buried in the Fallin Ranch Cemetery, 465 Knight Road, Lone Camp, Texas.Baum Carlock Bumgardner Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
