James Woodson “Woody” Bandy passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2024 in Fort Worth Texas. He was born May 19, 1950, at the Nazareth Hospital in Mineral Wells, Texas. He graduated from Santo High School in 1968 and Tarleton State College in 1972. He married Michele Brannon on June 2, 1985, at the First Baptist Church in Santo, Texas.
Woody was a lifetime resident of Santo. He owned and operated his own truck for many years. Woody was passionate about keeping his trucks in pristine condition, took pride in his work, and loved driving cross country.
Woody is preceded in death by his dad, Mr. N.W. Bandy and his sister, Regina Greenhalgh.
Woody is survived by his wife, Michele Bandy; son, Ethan Woodson Bandy; sister, Sharron and husband Kenneth Taylor; sister, Roseanna Bowden; brother, Paul Bandy and wife Kim; mother, Sylvia Bandy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Baum Carlock Funeral Home in Mineral Wells, Texas on Saturday evening, February 3, from 5 – 7 PM. Graveside services will be at the North Cemetery in Santo on Sunday, February 4, at 2 PM.
