Jackie Wayne Coleman of Mineral Wells went to be with the Lord on February 7, 2018 at the age of 87. He was born August 30, 1930 in Coleman, Texas the son of Fred Esmond and Minnie Craig Coleman. Jack was a loving and devoted husband to Morine Link Coleman. They married on May 2, 1958 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Soon after graduating Coleman High School, Jack enlisted in the US Navy. Upon completing his service in the military, he went to work for Dowell and worked there until his retirement in 1986. After retirement, Jack had a lawn care service and he and his wife had a café at Mineral Wells Stockyards. Jack's hobby's included attending horse races, as well as figuring the odds on the races, and raising goats. Jack is survived by daughter-in-law, Paulette Coleman of Soldotna, Alaska; son, Michael (Jennie) Cook of Weatherford; daughter, Janna (Jimmy) Funderburg of Mineral Wells; grandchildren, Shonia (Paul) Werner and Brooke (Gable) Ames all of Soldotna, Alaska, Joshua (Jesse) Coleman, of Fairbanks, Alaska, Jackson Drew(Adrienne) Coleman of Longmont, Colorado, Daniel and Barret Cook of Weatherford, Cameron (Chelsea) Norman and Amber(Cody) Lessig all of Mineral Wells and Olivia Cook of Arlington; great grandchildren, Emily, Brennan & Abriella Werner and Gaeden, Hailey & Trinity Ames, all of Soldotna, Alaska, Kodi and Sydney Coleman of Fairbanks, Alaska, Jackson, Quentin & Carson Coleman of Longmont, Colorado, Brayden White, Aubrey Doyle and Carstyn and Caelan Lessig all of Mineral Wells; siblings, Donald (Gwen) Coleman, George (Barbara) Coleman and Bobby Coleman all of Farmington, New Mexico, Becky Elkin of Irving, Nancy (Jerry) Coleman of Granbury, (Aleta) Coleman of Brownwood and (Billy Jack) Link of Wichita Falls, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Family predeceasing Jack are his wife; son, Glenn Coleman; parents; siblings, Vernon (Alene) Coleman, Sue (Lucien) Love, Peggy (Charles) Heflebower, Marcel Coleman, Gene (Joyca) Coleman, (Patsy) Coleman and Melissa and Katie Coleman and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be Monday, February 12, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home with visitation one hour before service. Burial will be after the service in Woodland Park Cemetery, Mineral Wells, Texas.
