J. T. "Jake" Watson, 84, passed away October 21, 2011 in Weatherford. He was born May 30, 1927 in Burkett the son of R. T. and Nanie Godwin Watson. He married Patsy Jordan on July 24, 1953 in Marietta, Oklahoma. He owned Lone Star Transfer and Storage and Lone Star Dump Trucks for many years. He was a veteran of the US Army having served in the Korean War. Services will be 10 AM Wednesday, October, 26, 2011 in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel with Chaplain Terry Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Burkett Cemetery in Burkett at 3 PM. He is survived by the mother of his children: Patsy Watson of Waco, son: Charles Watson of Weatherford, daughter and son-in-law: Susie Watson Buse and Stephen of Waco, grandchildren: Monty Reedy and fiancé Eryn Kuntz, Devin Buse and wife Jessy, John Watson, Jeff Watson, and Heather Guerrero, great-grandchildren: Stephanie, Jewel, Eniss, Kaylie, Jose, and Nicholas, brother and sister-in-law: Jack Watson and wife Jo of Abilene, and sister and brother-in-law: Patsy Watson Hill and husband Clifford of Van. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 sisters. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Solaris Hospice of Mineral Wells at 101 Holly Hill Rd., Mineral Wells, TX 76067.
