J T VanNatta, 88, passed away May 26, 2009 in a Mineral Wells nursing home. He was born April 2, 1921 in Bald Prairie the son of Harvey and Polly McCrary VanNatta. He married Dorothy A. Bryson on November 17, 1939 in Weatherford. He was a faithful member of the Palo Pinto United Methodist Church, and he enjoyed traveling with his wife Dorothy and numerous other friends. J T was a veteran of WWII, and was one of the founding members of the Lone Camp Volunteer Fire Department. He owned a Chrysler dealership in the 50's in Mineral Wells and had a very successful trucking business. Services will be 2 PM Saturday, May 30, 2009 at Southside Church of Christ with Rev. Margie Holmes and Rev. Barry Holmes officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Park Cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife Dorothy VanNatta of Mineral Wells, sons and daughters-in-law: Jack and Gwen VanNatta of Owasso, Oklahoma, Jerry and Ronda VanNatta of Mineral Wells, daughter: Linda Fischer of Mineral Wells, 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, brother: Marvin VanNatta of Forney, sister and brother-in-law: Bobbie and Edgar Polaski of Rosenberg, and numerous nieces and nephews.
