Ima M. Courtney, 87, passed away March 5, 2013 at her home in Perrin. She was born November 5, 1925 in Parker County the daughter of Walter and Grace Graves Spurgeon. She married Clarence R. Courtney on March 23, 1951 in Mineral Wells. She was the Manager of the Cafeteria of Lamar Elementary School for 10 years until she retired. She was a member of the former Oak Ridge Baptist Church. She loved the outdoors, her home in the country, and loved animals. Services will be 2 PM Friday, March 8, 2013 in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel. Burial will follow in Rock Creek Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. She is survived by her daughter: Clareece Courtney of Mineral Wells, brother and sister-in-law: C. L. and Mary Spurgeon of Mineral Wells, nieces: Linda Payne, Theresa Hawkins, nephew: Max Spurgeon, many special cousins, and many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband on April 2, 1985.
