Ida Catherine Potter

Ida Catherine Potter, 78, of Mineral Wells, passed away Sunday, July 18, 2010 in Mineral Wells. Funeral Services will be 2 PM Wednesday at the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel with Drew Ratcliff, Kenneth McMinn and Michael George officiating. Burial will be in the Brookside Memorial Cemetery in Houston 12 noon, Thursday, July 22. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Tuesday.She was born August 4, 1931, the daughter of Eugene and Nolie Matlock Dempsey. She met and married Albert Potter July 5, 1949 in Cushing, TX. She moved to Mineral Wells in 1988 and attended the Sturdivant Church of Christ.Survivors include her husband, Albert Potter of Mineral Wells; daughter, Cathie Reeves and husband Gary of Houston; grandchildren, Chad Reeves of Houston, Ginger Conduff of Weatherford and Susan Briones and husband Jimmy of Houston; ten great-grandchildren; sisters, Ima Jean Williams of Cushing, TX and Faye Davis of Tyler; brothers, Jack Dempsey of Nacogdoches, Phillip Dempsey of Cushing and James Mack Dempsey of Longview; numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by a daughter, Gala Bohannon and a sister, Cleo Leger.
