Helen Mitchell

Helen Elizabeth Mitchell, 87, of Mineral Wells, passed away Friday, October 30, 2009 in Mineral Wells. Funeral services were 4 PM Monday at the Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. David Montoya officiating. Burial was in the Salesville Cemetery with J. C. McCann, Thomas Holt, William Parker, Holger Kelley, Mason Mitchell and Matt McMeans serving as pallbearers. Mrs. Mitchell was born August 4, 1922 in Graford, the daughter of John H. and Martha Izora Smith Hay. She married Preston W. Mitchell, November 8, 1945 in the Rock Creek Community and he preceded her in death February 6, 1998. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Ronny and Martha Mitchell of Mineral Wells, John and Tina Mitchell of Weatherford and Odes and Sandy Mitchell of Arlington; grandchildren, Jennifer and Jacy McCann of Fort Worth, Sarah and Thomas Holt of Briarcliff, TX, Autumn and Holger Kelley of Weatherford, Cemi Jo and William Parkey of Weatherford, Mason Mitchell of Arlington and Leah Mitchell of Arlington; three great-grandchildren, Molly McCann, Walker J. Parkey and Ursela Blake Kelley. She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
