Hazel Dorothy Caldwell

Hazel Dorothy Caldwell, 87, passed away May 4, 2009 in a Mineral Wells nursing home. She was born January 14, 1922 in Parker County the daughter of Albert and Pearl Herring Brierton. She married Edward Caldwell on April 27, 1942 in California. She was a member of North Oak Church of Christ, and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She worked for several years at the Crazy Water Hotel as food and hospitality manager. She and her husband owned and operated Caldwell's Restaurant until their retirement in 1983. Services will be 2 PM Thursday, May 7, 2009 in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel. Burial will follow in Woodland Park Cemetery. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Jesse and Judy Caldwell of Mineral Wells, Jimmie and Kay Caldwell of Houston, grandchildren: Michele McCord of North Richland Hills, Jeff Caldwell of Encino, Jason Caldwell of Mineral Wells, Brian, Marty, and Ty Caldwell all of Houston, and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1985, 6 brothers, and 1 sister.
