Hattie Susan Wright, a beloved member of the Mineral Wells community, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2023. She was born on November 18, 1935, in Greenville, Texas. Hattie will be remembered as a kind-hearted and dedicated individual, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion.
Hattie devoted much of her life to serving others in the healthcare industry. With her high school diploma in hand, she embarked on a fulfilling career as a Dietary Supervisor, making a significant impact on the patient care experience. Throughout her tenure at PPGH, Hattie consistently demonstrated her unwavering commitment to ensuring proper nourishment and well-being for all those under her care.
Born to nurture, Hattie’s genuine concern for others extended beyond her professional life. She touched the hearts of many through her generous spirit and selflessness. Her warmth and love will forever resonate with those whose lives she touched.
Hattie Susan Wright’s memory will be cherished by her beloved niece, Cecilia Hall and nephew, Larry Ward Sr. as well as a host of other relatives, friends, and colleagues who were fortunate enough to experience her kindness. She will be greatly missed, but her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
In honor of Hattie’s life, mourners and well-wishers are invited to attend the public viewing at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel on September 15, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held on September 16, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Southside Church of Christ. Following the service, a graveside ceremony will take place at Woodland Park Cemetery at 3:00 pm located at 3600 S. Oak Ave, Mineral Wells, TX 76067.
As we gather to bid farewell to Hattie, let us remember her exemplary character and the many lives she touched. May she rest in eternal peace, knowing that her legacy will continue to inspire and uplift those who follow in her compassionate footsteps.
