Harold J. Loehlein, 84, passed away January 23, 2012 in a Mineral Wells hospital. He was born July 13, 1927 in St. Cloud, Minnesota the son of Frank and Helen Gresser Leohlein. He married Joan Johnson of July 6, 1951 in Milbank, South Dakota. He had lived in Palo Pinto for the past 4 years. He was a veteran of the US Army and was part of the occupation forces in Japan. He was with SCORE in Pennsylvania. He was All East on his football team at West Point and played for Vince Lombardi and Red Blaik. He was President Elect of his senior class at West Point. Services will be 2 PM Saturday, January 28, 2012 in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel with Rev. Margie Holmes officiating. Burial will follow in Palo Pinto Cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife: Joan Loehlein of Palo Pinto, daughters and sons-in-law: Kim and Mike Macleod of Palo Pinto, Karen and Scott Riebe of Morrison, Colorado, son and daughter-in-law: Keith and MyVan Loehlein of Ivyland, Pennsylvania, 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, brother: Robert John Loehlein of Minnesota, and sister: Monica Larson of California. He was preceded in death by his sister: Margaret Karnes of Dallas.
