Gloria Faye "Granny Faye" Pruitt, 81, of Mineral Wells, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2010 in Mineral Wells. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Wednesday at the First Baptist Church with Rev. John Blackburn and Rev. Tommy Pophin officiating. Burial will be in the Grove Hill Memorial Park in Dallas at 2 PM Wednesday. Pallbearers will be Aaron Pappas, Ryan Pappas, Rickey Wedel, Bud Burson, Hal Brown and Clinton Tuggle. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Tuesday. Memorial donations may be made to the Palo Pinto General Hospital Auxiliary.Mrs. Pruitt was born March 2, 1928 in Dallas, TX the daughter of Arthur and Delia Jackson Becknell. She lived most of her life in Dallas where she worked for several years as a seamstress at a dress factory, but most of her life was spent as a homemaker, wife and mother. She married Kermit Reid Pruitt on March 20, 1946 in Dallas and he preceded her in death June 22, 1989. She moved to Mineral Wells in 1989 and was a member of the Eastridge Baptist church. She also enjoyed babysitting.Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Linda O'Connor of Mineral Wells, Diane Brown and husband Norman of Mineral Wells and Christine Pruitt of Garland; grandchildren, Staci Wedel, Aaron and Ryan Pappas all of Mineral Wels; great-grandchildren, Madie, Nicholas and Micah Pappas and Birgit, Gabby and Bud Burson all of Mineral Wells; numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
