Gloria Paret

Gloria Paret, 87, died December 14, 2020, in Mineral Wells TX. She was a long-time resident of Lake Charles (30+ years) before moving to Mineral
Wells TX (20+ years) to be near her grandchildren.
She was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Mineral Wells TX. She was also a long-time league bowler at Mountaineer Lanes Mineral Wells TX. Additional interests include family, gardening, and china painting. She would spend endless hours working in her yard!
Gloria is survived by Son John Paret and Wife Crickett of Mineral Wells TX; Grandchild Evan Paret of Anna TX and Grandchild Charles Paret and Wife Rebeca of Little Elm TX; Sister Diana Fontenot and Husband Earl of Ville Platte LA; Brother Larry Manual and Wife Kim of Mamou LA; and Sister In-law Linda Manuel of Lawton, OK. There are also many nieces, nephews, and cousins dear to her heart.
Gloria is preceded in death by her husband Charles Milnor Paret; parents Maurice and Irene Manuel; brother Burkeman Manuel; brother James Manuel; and brother John Manuel.
In lieu of flowers the family would like for donations to be made to the St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Mineral Wells, or a charity of choice.
Given current conditions, COVID, there will be no visitation or service here in Mineral Wells. Following a cremation, and at a time to be determined, her ashes will be buried in the Goos Cemetery, Lake Charles LA, with a small graveside service for immediate family and friends.
