George Garland

George Alfred Garland, 83, passed away October 22, 2013 in a Wichita Falls hospital. He was born May 21, 1930 in Palo Pinto County the son of Dr. Joe Baily and Lula Mae Myers Garland. He was a WWII era veteran of the US Army. He attended the Methodist Church and played in bands for various nursing homes in Wichita Falls. Graveside services will be 2 PM Friday, October 25, 2013 at Graford Cemetery. He is survived by his lifelong companion: Latrita Garland of Wichita Falls, sister: Beverly Sue Garland, brothers: Eddie C. and Jerry A Garland all of Graford, Carol Gamble of Mountain Home, Arkansas, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father: Dr. Joe Baily Garland, mother: Lula Mae Cummins, sisters: Nelda Jo Moon and Mary A Garland, and brother: Don M. Garland.
