Gary Wayne Longerbone, 81, of Possum Kingdom, passed away on July 9, 2014. A Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 p.m., Sunday, July 13 at PK Chamber of Commerce. Gary was born in New Virginia, Iowa on March 5, 1933 to Harley and Dorothy Williams Longerbone. He served in the U.S. Army. Gary lived most of his life in Fridley, Minnesota where he owned Gary's Automotive. He moved to Possum Kingdom Lake in 2008, where he loved being by the water and working at Hideaway Cabins. He never met a stranger and was Poppa to so many from Minnesota to Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Larry and brother-in-law, David Pegors. Survivors include his wife, Linda Long; children, Gary (Shari )LaVigne, Larry (Jule) LaVigne, Lisa (Dave) Iverson, Randy Winberg, Jill Skrien, Keri (Randy) Sharp, Karin Anderson, Terry (April) Anderson, and Kristi Cotto; grandchildren, Michael, Christopher, Sean, Brian, Alissa, Carly, Kyle, Ryan, Ashley, Lauren, Shelby, Gina, Dustin, Jacob, Karter, Kelsey, Byron, Trevor, Aaryn, Jordanne, Julian, Jesse, and Jadie; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Dolores (Allyn) Thompson; sisters-in-law, Maryann (Philip) Wood, Joy (Barry) March, Lora (Raymond) Stewart, Charlotte Lage; and also numerous friends.
