Fred Richard Hausman

Fred Richard Hausman, 75, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away April 15th, 2013 at his home in Mineral Wells, Texas, surrounded by his loving wife and family.Fred was born February 8th, 1938 in Corpus Christi Texas, the son of Fred Hausman and Emmie L. Hausman. He served in both the United States Army and the United States Air Force beginning in 1956 and was married to Mary Frances Hausman for 54 years. He moved his family from Garland, Texas to Mineral Wells in 1980 and soon thereafter opened and operated a local business, Brazos Paint and Carpet until 1999.During that time, Fred and his wife Fran, became very involved in the local community and were involved in many community activities. He loved his business, his friends, his community, and his family. He was a long-standing member of Holiday Hills Country Club where he played golf with his friends on a frequent basis during his retirement years.When he became a Grandfather, the family began to refer to him as Grandaddy and he was loved and cherished by his wife, children, grandchildren, and all of his extended family. Fred was a loving, generous family man who was known as a "giver" and never refused a friend any needs or request. He always had a kind word to friends that he would see on his daily trips to town to the grocery store, post office, barbershop, and throughout the community.He is survived by his loving and cherished wife, Fran Hausman and three children, Anne Hausman Rothermund, Richard Hausman, and Marsha Hausman Todd; daughter in-law Rachael Hausman; grandchildren Sarah Rothermund, Megan Todd, Emma Rothermund, Blake Estes, Brynn Huner, Alan Hausman and Aidan Hausman; great grandchildren Kamryn Wenzel and Kadence Wenzel; aunt Pauline Kelly.There will be a visitation at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 17th, 2013 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and funeral services will be held the following day, Thursday, April 18th at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Woodland Park Cemetery immediately following funeral service.
