Frances Lee Hawkins Knowles

Frances Lee Hawkins Knowles, 91, passed away January 21, 2012 in a Mineral Wells nursing home. She was born March 22, 1920 to William and Rachael Hawkins near Prosper, Texas in Denton County one of 6 children. Frances met and married Vanis Lee Knowles March 30, 1940. They had three children Wilburn Knowles, Edith Knowles Cauto, and Janice Knowles Busby. Frances was a stay at home mom. She loved to cook, garden, and listen to Country and Gospel Music. In 2007 Frances and Vanis health started to fail and they moved to Palo Pinto Nursing and Rehab Center. Frances helped care for Vanis until he passed away in October of 2011. She missed Vanis every day and would tell you he had gone to be with Jesus. That is where I want to be also with Daddy, he left me I want to be with Daddy and Jesus. Frances health failed in December but she continued to as about family and Vanis and would want you to stay and visit, she always had a smile on her face and would hold your hand. Services will be 2 PM Sunday February 5, 2012 in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel with Rev. David Wilkins officiating. Burial will follow in Perrin Memorial Gardens Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her husband in October of 2011, her parents, 3 brothers, and 1 sister.
