Foy Wallace Layton - passed away April 4, 2015 - Born June 18, 1936 in Clarendon, Texas Met Martha Ward while attending Abilene Christian College and was married on January 23, 1959 Foy spent his adult lifetime preaching the gospel. Foy moved to Coppell in 1972 where he got involved with the growing Community. He wore many hats during his Coppell residency. He was minister at Coppell Church of Christ, a volunteer Firefighter/EMT, a mailman, a School Board Trustee, a Planning & Zoning Commissioner, a Historical Committee member, President of the first Coppell Girls Softball League, a school bus driver, and was famous for being the "Voice of the Coppell Cowboys". He announced the High School football games for 30 years until he became too ill to continue. That was one of the many loves of his life. In 1997, The City of Coppell named a street after Layton for his many years of community service. Foy also opened the first real estate company in Coppell and sold real estate until his move to Possum Kingdom Lake in 1993. Foy retired and moved to Possum Kingdom Lake where he preached for the PK Community Church until his illness prevented him to continue. Foy is survived by his wife of 56 years Martha Layton of Possum Kingdom Daughters Debbie Birdsall of Lewisville, TX, Sheri Moino of Coppell, TX, and Michelle Owens of Mineral Wells, TX, son Wallace Layton of Hazelton, PA -16 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren and many other extended family members Celebration of Foy's life will be held on Friday, April 10th at 11:00 a.m. at Possum Kingdom Community Church located at 251 N FM 2353, Graford, TX 76449
