Forrest Glenn Tipps Sr.

Forrest Glenn "Casey" Tipps Sr., 88, passed away April 26, 2014 at his home at Possum Kingdom Lake. He was born December 21, 1925 in Winters the son of Lantice Athol and Lottie Dale Lee Tipps. He married Dorothy Marie Vrana on July 31, 1949 in Jourdanton. He was a longtime resident of Possum Kingdom Lake and a member of the Community Church of PK Lake. He was a member of the American Legion, and a US Navy Veteran having served in WWII. He was a past member of the board of United Cooperative Services. Services will be 10 AM Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Charlie's Angels. Burial will follow in McAdams Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 6-8 PM at Charlie's Angels. He is survived by his wife: Dorothy Marie Tipps of Possum Kingdom Lake, children: LaVerne Trogden of Smithville, Forrest Glenn "Bubba" Tipps Jr. of Lufkin, Mary Ellen Richardson of Possum Kingdom Lake, 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings. In lieu of flowers donations may be madt to the Community Church of PK Lake "Out of the Ashes" Fund in his memory.
