Eva Fern Wilson, 87, of Palo Pinto, Texas went to meet her heavenly savior on November 6, 2020. Fern fought a long battle of Parkinson’s and dementia. She was absolutely the best mom, grandmother and great-grandmother anyone could ask for. She was a caregiver her entire adult life bringing sunshine and hope into anyone’s life she touched. She was an avid gardener and loved to play cards and dominoes.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Monday, November 9, 2020 at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at Palo Pinto Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Glen McDonald, Robert Bryan, Josh Martinez, James Hoadley, Marvin McGraw, and Danny Buckalew.
Fern was born August 24, 1933 in Vinita, Oklahoma. She was born the daughter of Glen and Beulah Allen. After living in Oklahoma and Graham, Texas she moved to Palo Pinto County where she resided the last 40 years.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Danny Buckalew of Palo Pinto; son, Lonnie Wilson of Dewey, Oklahoma; 4 grandsons, Robert Bryan and wife Amy of Santo, Kevin Bryan of Mineral Wells, Jason Wilson and wife Heather of Dewey, Oklahoma, and Justin Wilson of Dewey, Oklahoma; 7 granddaughters, Stacy Wood and husband Doug of Lake Palo Pinto, Shonda Melton and husband Robbie of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; Sheila Kaufert and husband Brett of Pflugerville, Becky McDonald and husband Glen of Mineral Wells, Tara Wilson and James Hoadley of Olney, Crystal Martinez and husband Josh of Newcastle, and Amber Brown and husband Michael of Graham; brother, Jerry Allen of Chouteau, Oklahoma; sisters, Betty Ramsey of Layton, Utah, Wanda Davis of Jenks Oklahoma, and Brenda and husband George of Ketchum, Oklahoma; 32 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Fern was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Beulah Allen; husband, Raymond Wilson; son, Alan Wilson; daughter, Barbara Wilson; daughter-in-law, Sharon Wilson; great-granddaughter, Kellie Bryan; 4 brothers, Wayne, Dale, Bill and Edgar Allen; and 1 sister, Margie Smith.
