Eva Maurine Swinson passed away on to eternal life at her home in Mineral Wells on Sunday, January 23, 2011. She was born March 22, 1930 to Rufus and Clara Smith Spurgers in El Dorado, Texas. She was the proud mother of her three beloved daughters: Sueanne Jones, Marianne McMinn, and Lynanne Wilbanks. Eva lived life to its fullest. She enjoyed music, especially that of her husband Johnny Lee Swinson, who preceded her in death on January 8, 1994. For many years, she worked at the Mineral Wells Index and most recently volunteered at a food bank in North Richland Hills, passing out food for those in need. She loved spending time with her family, reading books, playing cards, working crossword puzzles, and most of all watching the Dallas Cowboys. Her grandchildren and their spouses were the light of her eye. Services will be 2 PM Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at First United Methodist Church in Mineral Wells with Rev. Connally Dugger officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Park Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. The pallbearers will be Robert Wilbanks, Matthew Hendrick, Brian Wilbanks, Joel Kertok, Joe Murdock, Joe Reese, Darrin Johnson, Brian Boetz, and David Cason. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Sueanne and Andy Jones, Marianne and Roland McMinn, Lynanne and Cody Wilbanks, grandchildren and spouses: Matt and Amanda Hendrick, Anna and Joel Kertok, Beth and Joe Murdock, Kat Reiter, Robert Wilbanks, Stephanie and Joe Reese, Jodi and Darrin Johnson, and Brian Wilbanks, and great-grandchildren: Chloe, Mason, David, Emily, Sarah, Brent, Sam, Ben, Jed, Bekkah, Trinity, Nick, Noah, Ava, Taylor, Holt, Faith, Merrick, Savannah, Dylon, Antonio, Zacharia, and Annalisia. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, granddaughters: Jennifer Glidewell McCarty and Coley Hendrick Dupre, and great-grandson: Zachary Kertok.
