Ernest Baker

Ernest (Pat) Baker, 88, passed away December 20, 2017 in Mineral Wells. He was born January 28, 1929 in Albin, Oklahoma the son of Ernest Andrew and Rebecca Jane Young Baker. He married Gelene Walker on May 2, 1960 in Deming, New Mexico. He was a longtime resident of Mineral Wells and retired from Safeway and Campbell Memorial Hospital (now Medical City Weatherford) as a groundskeeper. Services will be 2 PM Friday, December 29, 2017 in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel. Burial will follow in Staggs Prairie Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife: Gelene Baker of Mineral Wells, daughters and sons-in-law: Lavanna Johnston and husband Jack McKeever of Farmington, New Mexico, Rhonda Patterson and husband Dennis Boaz of Mineral Wells, grandchildren: Teresa Saner, Chad Davis, Patrick Patterson, John Patterson, and Sarah Patterson, 12 great-grandchildren, sister: Maggie Lee Burkham of Mineral Wells, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 7 siblings.
