Erma Ruth Hanks

Erma Ruth Hanks, 87, of Mineral Wells, passed away Friday, December 5, 2008 at her home. Graveside funeral services were 11:00 am, Tuesday at the Sunset Memorial Garden Cemetery in Odessa, Texas. Rev. Bobby Williams will officiate.Mrs. Hanks was born October 31, 1921 in Drynob, MO, the daughter of Thomas and Ruth Nurse Kincheloe. She graduated Pampa, Texas High School in 1935 and lived in Mineral Wells for several years. She moved to Odessa where she met and married Marvin Hanks in 1971, He preceded her in death April 4, 1980. She was an executive for Montgomery Ward's and retired in 1971 after 28years of service.Survivors include her sister, Josephine and husband Raymond D. Colston of Mineral Wells; nephews, Robert Colston of Mineral Wells and Jerry Lightfoot and wife Rita of Denver City; grand-niece Bobbette Lightfoot of Waco.
