It is with great heartache to announce that on January 22, 2023, at the age of eight, Emery Kay Rittenbury lost her battle with kidney disease. She was a “girlie” girl that loved everything pink and purple. Emery loved her new puppy, Ruby, but most of all she loved her faithful sidekicks Henry and Hazel the hedgehogs.
Emery was preceded in death by her grandfather, Elmer Mahan; great-grandmother, Kay Adams; and grandfather, Daniel Ahern.
Emery is survived by her parents: James and Lena Rittenbury, Justin Fletcher, Josie Vallance, Anthony Schmitz, Amanda Ahern. She is also survived by brothers: Kenneth Oliver, Dan Oliver, and Tyson Oliver, Ashton Siegal, Michael Vallance, Jr., Jaxson Dwight Schmitz, Augustus Anderson, and Edwin Fletcher; sisters, Cadence Fletcher, Raelynn Vallance, Raven Vallance, Cheyenne Vallance, and Jessie Mae Schmitz; as well as numerous other grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be 6-8 Wednesday at the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Thursday, January 26, 2023 at Mineral Wells Church of God. Interment will follow at Authon Cemetery.
