Elizabeth McComb

Elizabeth O'Dell McComb, 75, passed away July 6, 2009 in a Fort Worth hospital. "Sister" as she was affectionately known, was born on August 31, 1933 near Dennis the daughter of Nolan Buck and Rena Henderson Basham. She married Bill McComb on June 6, 1950 in Mineral Wells and was a homemaker and mother to their three children. Sister was preceded in death by her husband on April 25, 1990, and her father. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Bonnie and Bill Blum of Brenham, Connie and Gary Janda of LaGrange, son and daughter-in-law: John and Denise McComb of Big Spring, mother: Rena Belding, brothers and sisters: Fronnie McCoy, Nolan Edgin, Buck Basham, and Bill Sawyer, 8 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be 2 PM Friday, July 10, 2009 in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel with Rev. Bobby Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Allison Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be mad the local humane society in her memory.
