Eldred Allen "Squeaky" Fryer, 62, of Mineral Wells, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2009, at his home. Funeral services will be 10 am Saturday at the South Side Church of Christ with burial at the Woodland Park Cemetery. William Eudy, Roger Keck and J. R. Patterson will officiate at the service. Pallbearers are Fudgie Windham, Sam Streun, Lynn Reasoner, J. R. Patterson, Strawberry Jordan and Alex McKee. Honorary Pallbearers are the Palo Pinto County Sheriff's Posse, Palo Pinto County Livestock Association, Mineral Wells Volunteer Fire Department, Derril Teague and Danny Dahl. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Friday.Mr. Fryer was born October 3, 1946, in Palo Pinto County, Texas, the son of Eldred Louis and Claudia Allene Murphy and lived here all his life. He married Suzanne Goree, February 26, 1971, in Palo Pinto County and was a member of the First Christian Church. He was a truck driver for 15 years and retired from Devon Industries as a pump operator in 2006. He was also a member of the Mineral Wells Volunteer Fire Department, a long time member of the Palo Pinto County Sheriff's Posse and belonged to the Palo Pinto County Livestock Association.Survivors include his wife, Suzanne Fryer of Mineral Wells; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Mindy Fryer of Mineral Wells, Tracy and Marijo Fryer of Mineral Wells; daughters and sons-in-law, Barbee and Tim Seigler of Mineral Wells and Debby and Mike Gilley of Mineral Wells; grandchildren, Sydnee, Cheyanne, Jenny, Dylan, Courtney and Braden; brother and sister-in-law, Eddy and Kathy Fryer of Mineral Wells; nieces and husbands, Danielle and Travis Cunningham and Candice and Chris Stover; nephew, Justin Fryer. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jenny Lynn "Turtle" Fryer in 1990.
