Elder Baker

Elder LeRoy Baker Sr., 92, passed into his Lord's arms on February 19, 2016.He was born in Geneva, Florida; the son of LeRoy Baker and Corine Williams Baker and to this union were added 9 children. LeRoy was a Pastor Emeritus, Assembly of God in Christ for over 60 years in Ministry and 40 years in Pastoring. He is a retired SSGT U.S Air Force and served for 32 years, served in WW II and also in the Korean War. He is also a retired small business owner for the Economy Auto Paint and Body for over 40 years. A visitation will be held Friday, February 26, 2016 from 6-8 pm at the Assembly of God. A funeral service will be Saturday, February 27, 2016 11am, at Mt. Herman Baptist Church. He married Doris Marie Turner on September 9, 1954 in Paducah, Texas. This union blessed with eleven children, seven surviving. He leaves behind siblings: Doris Fearon and Ernest Baker Sr.; children: LeRoy Baker, Jr of California, Robert E. Lee Jackson of Austin, Texas, Shirley Ann Jackson of Mineral Wells, Texas, Roy Lee Baker, Sr. of Mineral Wells, Texas, Rosie Lee Baker of Weatherford, Texas, Carrie Ann Baker of Mineral Wells, Texas and Corine Baker Anders of Willow Park, Texas; in-loves: Ralph A. Simmons, Sr. - (Diane), Veronica J. Baker - (Roy, Sr.), Henry J. Anders, III - (Corine); 17 grandchildren: Cathy Jackson, Ralph Simmons, Jr. (Sumana), Grace Greorge (Harold), Robert D Kemp, Sr. and family, Bobby Isaac, Garland Isaac, Connie Lee Isaac, Pamela Watkins (Floyd), Roy Baker, Jr. (Gennie), Veronica Brooks (Michael), Shirley Williams (Brennon), Steven Jones (Amber), Trey Baker, Kayla Baker, Edward Anders (Krista) and Henry Jess Anders, IV; 12 great-grandchildren: Tali Jackson, D'eontae George, Caleb George, Champagne Jackson, Ray III Baker, Kaylee Baker, Darien Sheffield and Edward Zachary Anders Jr; host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents James and Corine Baker; wife Doris Marie Turner; Siblings: Elsey Baker, Jimmy Baker, Edith Donaldson, Hattie Mae James, Corine Henderson, Annie Mae Bowers; children: Clara Marie Simmons, Carolyn Baker, Doris Lee Jones, Baby Boy Baker; in-loves: Joyce Jackson and Andrew Jones (Doris); Grandchilren: Linda Jackson.
