Elbert Orval Wiley, age 93, the sweetest man you will ever know, went to be with his Lord and beloved wife March 31, 2011, on the 3rd anniversary of her passing. He was surrounded by his family at his home in Graford.He was born in Finis TX. (Jack Co.) on March 7, 1918. He was a carpenter by trade, and was also in boat, cabinet and gas station business with his father and brother; he retired from the Mineral Wells ISD maintenance department in 1983. He served proudly in the US Army from March 1941 to June 1945 in the 5th Medical Supply Depot. He moved from Strawn to Graford with his family when he was 8, and lived there all his life. He was a dedicated Christian and member of the Church of Christ in Graford his whole life. He loved his family and friends so very much, and will truly be missed by all who knew him.He is survived by his daughter, Cindy and husband Terry Morgan of Graford, son Carlton and wife Sandy of Weatherford, grandsons Matt Ogdon and friend Christy of Graford and Josh Morgan of Fort Worth, granddaughters Stephanie and Shelby Wiley of Weatherford, Ashley Ogdon of Graford, great grandchildren, Jacob Wiley, Devin and Lane with many cousins, nieces and nephews and one sister in law, Betty Rainey of Mineral Wells. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Lou Rhodes Wiley of 51 years, parents Melvin and Tennie May Wiley, brother, Roy Vernon (RV-PeeWee) Wiley and sisters Wilma Pauline Johnson and Melva Jane Storm. Visitation at Baum Carlock Bumgardner Monday April 4, 2011 from 6-8pm with services at Graford Church of Christ Tuesday April 5, 2011 at 2pm burial will follow at Barton Chapel Cemetery.
