Edward Pippin

b. September 14, 1944

Edward "Holland" Pippin was born September 14, 1944 in Jacksboro, Texas to Jim and Jewell Pippin. He was the second of three children. He had an older brother, Jimmy Lee Pippin, and an adopted little sister, Whonda Lee Pippin-Cook. Holland was married twice in his life. His first wife was Rayetta Slay and they had three children together, Hollie Ranee, James Weldon, and Deanna Lee Inez Pippin but after 10 years together they decided to continue being friends and co parent. Soon after, he met and married Janice Burk. She had two beautiful children, Ricky and Vickie, and just like that, he became the proud dad of 5 kids and one "adopted" daughter, Gwyn. Holland was a devoted and loving husband to Janice until her death in January of 2017. He was a great dad to his children and a wonderful grandad to his grandchildren. His happiest times in life were when he was surrounded by all the people he loved having a cookout and sharing stories. Survivors include his five children; grandchildren, Jimmy Dale Harris, Tiffany McCoy Cree, Zachary Holland Pennell, Megan "Boo" McCoy, Russell Wayne Pippin, Colton Ross Lively, Jacob Chance Pennell, Edward Scott Pippin, Tyson James Burwell, Leslie Danielle Burwell, and Colby Rhett Burwell. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Alexus Montalvo, Keegan Harris, Kollin Harris, Rylin Harris, Brantlee Pippin, Brooklinn Pennell, Wyatt Pennell, Lillie Pennell, Jeffrey Pennell, and Annabelle Penell. He had friends that he loved like family and you all know who you are. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Abundant Life Church in Graford. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to a local animal shelter.
