Edward Junior McDonald, 81, passed away April 25, 2011 at his home in Cool. He was born October 31, 1929 in Parker County the son of Charles E. and Arlene Singletary McDonald. He was a longtime resident of Cool and a member of Holders Chapel United Methodist Church there. He was a veteran of the US Army having served in the Korean War. Services will be 10 AM Friday, April 29, 2011 at Holders Chapel United Methodist Church with Jim Wright and Stephen Storm officiating. Burial will follow in Holders Chapel Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law: Melinda Cosper of Millsap, Patricia and Jim R. Wright of Eastland, Jean-Ann and Gary Cheatham of Sierra City, California, mother of the girls: Patricia Huitt of Millsap, grandchildren: Jason McDonald, William Cosper, Jenna Cosper, Jacey Storm, Ashley Crowder, Blakeney French, 6 great-grandchildren, brothers: Clifton C. McDonald of Cool, J. M. McDonald of Garner, Liness Ray McDonald of Harrisonville, Missouri, sister: Leta Kates of Harrisonville, Missouri and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
