Eddie Bell

Eddie Thornton Bell passed away in his home and was departed to Heaven on Saturday, March 21st 2015. He was born in Gordon, TX on January 10th, 1937. He was the son of Ruth and Jim Bell. Service will be held at Indian Creek Baptist Church Wednesday morning at 10:00am with the burial to follow at Indian Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home in the annex Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00pm. He was a hardworking and loving man of the age of 78. Eddie was a beloved husband to Shirley Bell for 50 years; a father to Lisa O'Neal, Kelli Barbee, Russell Bell and wife Chelese; a loving grandfather to Kendal Gil, Brittany Barbee, Kaylen O'Neal, Morgan Bell, Jordan Bell, Ryan Bell, Michaela Mendoza and Elizabeth Bell; brother to Mary Bass, Louise Ray, Jimmy Longenbaugh and husband Gean and numerous nieces and nephews. Eddie Bell was a devoted fireman for 30 years with Mineral Wells Fire Department. He was a dedicated volunteer fireman for many years as well. He never stopped doing constant tasks for his family. From picking them up from school, going to the school field trips and holiday parties, to getting them the medicine they needed while he watched over them. He always put his family first, no matter what. He was a man that many looked up to, and many cherished. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Bell O'Neal. Eddie will be deeply missed by many that he met through out his lifetime. His family is grateful to have him as a guardian angel.
