Dorothy Mae Maitlen

Dorothy Mae Maitlen, 93, passed away February 3, 2019 in Mineral Wells. She was born December 15, 1925 in Grandfield, Oklahoma the daughter of James Oscar Sr. and Vivian Ogethal Callicott Daugherty. She married Harold Dee Maitlen on April 11, 1945 in Walters Oklahoma. She was a longtime resident of Mineral Wells and a member of First Baptist church. She retired from the US Government with 25 years of service. Services will be 2 PM Friday February 8, 2019 at First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Woodland Park Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. She is survived by her children and spouses: Carol and Joe Harakal of Fort Worth, James and Sharon Maitlen of Mineral Wells, Ricky and Marian Maitlen of Weatherford, Debbie and Keith Spoon of Mineral Wells, grandchildren and spouses: Cindy and Dan, Leslie and Mike, Matthew and Amanda, Sara and Drew, Amanda and Reed, Hilary and Matt, Christy and Kirt, Josh and Celia, Jordon and Chris, Cole and Ashley, and Jake, 18 great-grandchildren, and sister: Trecyl Sherler of Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband on March 25, 2008, grandson: Eric Meredith, great-granddaughter: Samantha Carter, and 2 brothers. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
